The traditional Cuban music made in exile also has a place in the Latin Grammy nomination. With thousands of copies sold, the album Tropicana All Stars Recuerda a Benny More is known for the thousands of voters from the Latin Academy of Sciences and Recording Arts (LARAS) and the National Academy of Sciences and Recording Arts (NARAS ).

Cuba in exile displayed in the fifth installment of the Latin Grammys. The large orchestra Tropicana All Stars, based in Miami, has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album, it was announced today at a press conference held at the club The Mayan in Los Angeles.

Not all albums of traditional music made in Cuba are the only recognized by a Grammy. This nomination changes the course of history and now Tropicana All Stars with Israel Kantor as a singer, based in Miami, nominees come with a repertoire based on the excellent catalog of songs that was The Barbarian of Rhythm, the lajero Benny Moré.

The two nominations for the Grammys and NARAS LARAS both in 2004 at Tropicana All Star album reminds Benny Moré with Generoso Jimenez, and in 2005 the two nominations for the Grammys and NARAS LARAS both the Tradition album La Tropicana All Star and Israel Kantor .

The album reminds Tropicana All Star Benny More, was produced by Juanito Márquez and executive produced by Recaredo Gutierrez. It has the special participation of prominent Cuban trombonist Generoso "Tojo" Jimenez, octogenarian musician who led the historic grouping of Benny Moré.

Also participated in recording figures of the stature of the saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera, trumpeter Alfredo "Chocolate" Armenteros, and Cuban singer Roberto Torres.
